Taiwan Day 1

So here is how my flight went from Ottawa to Taipei. It started out with a 2 hour flight from Ottawa to Detroit, and then a 6 hour wait in Detroit. While I was in Detroit, I couldn't help but notice the shuttle train that went back and forth through the airport. As it turns out, when you have to wait for 6 hours, waiting for a train to come zooming by can be quite entertaining :P. After my long wait in Detroit, I had to endure a 12 hour and 1 minute flight to Tokyo. When I got off in Tokyo, I noticed that the airport was much much bigger than Detroit's, but there was no train. After a long walk to my gate, and an hour wait, I was off on the final flight, which lasted 3 hours from Tokyo to Taiwan. Unfortunately after finally arriving in Taiwan, I had an hour long car ride to my house. When I got there, me and my host brother went out to some street vendors, and bought some amazing dinner. Today was my first full day in Taiwan, and I had to go to school early to get my school uniform. Seeing as I am only here for a year the school offered to let me have used uniforms, that way I would not have to pay. It took a very very long time, just to figure out that for the most part I am indeed too big for Taiwan :P I got some shirts, but pants were really hard to get. I think that I am over jet lag, and even though I cant understand what people are saying, I feel like I am getting stared at pretty much everywhere I go. Here are some pictures I took since I have been in Taiwan. The top one is my host family's cute little dog, the one on the left is my school, and the one on the right is Taipei Tower.
